Sir Arthur Clarke’s Next Vision to be Realized

Sir Arthur Clarke, sci-fi writer, originator of the idea of the artificial satellite, wrote a book, The_Fountains_of_Paradise, circa 1979 about building an elevator to orbit, wherein he also predicted nano-scale engineering filaments of diamond.

It’s the only way to get to space without undue consumption of fuel and emissions of massive warming gases.
